Whether you're a seasoned athlete or new to the sport, there's always opportunity to learn and grow. Through proper progression and collaboration with our athletes, coaches, and parents, we can nurture these young athletes to excel not just in the sport, but in life.
My journey in cheer and gymnastics didn't follow the typical path. I didn't start in this sport like most cheerleaders and gymnasts. It wasn't until high school that I had my first taste of tumbling. I was fortunate to have a friend whose family owned a power tumbling and gymnastics facility right in their backyard. Little did I know, this is where I slowly learned the foundational techniques that would shape my career.
My official cheerleading journey began at Snow College before I moved to SLC and joined the University of Utah cheer team. As captain of the team, I continued to expand my knowledge, training, and experience in cheer and gymnastics. I traveled around the country working as an instructor for UCA (Universal Cheerleading Association), further honing my skills. Along with having experience in gameday cheer, I've coached and ran multiple all-star programs and teams and have competed at the USASF Worlds Cheerleading Competition in Orlando!
It was also through cheerleading that I met my wife, the daughter of my coaches at the time. Now, we own and run a successful all-star gym, Northstar Elite, in Farmington, UT. Together, we travel and choreograph full routines for both high school and all-star programs.
I'm proud to say I've built an extensive background in cheer, gymnastics, athlete performance, and nutrition. Some of my accomplishments/certifications include:
